Jolly old Saint Nicolas is face down crying
Forgotten, tarnished silver bells you can’t hear them peeling

The glitter and magic of Christmas has gone
Joyless, rusted jingle bells sit silent and sleighless
The rise of the Grinch topples good King Wenceslas
Our marshmallow wonderland is blackened and toasted
And chestnuts on an open fire are mouldy not roasted
The glitter and the magic of Christmas has gone
Frosty isn't jolly with climate warming
The calm silent night's quelled by retail swarming
No Christmas cards bare Jesus or Mary the virgin
Rudolph's red nose has been fixed by a surgeon

We can bring back a glittering Christmas
Let’s clap and stamp our feet with jolly St Nicolas

Stardust Dive Internet Radio station and UK's Tim Izzard, songwriter and musician.
Gregory has played Tim's solo music on his station for the last few years. A friendship developed over a love of pop music leading to this fanciful project became a fictional reality!
